Dragon Ball Raging Blast

Dragon Ball: Raging Blast (ドラゴンボール レイジングブラスト Doragon Bōru Reijingu Burasuto?), despite its title, is the fourth installment in the Budokai Tenkaichi series. The game is currently under development for Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3.[8]

The game was first mentioned in the Namco Bandai 2009 fiscal report. It was revealed that a new game was in development for both Xbox 360 and PS3, and that the game will be released the second quarter of the 2009-2010 fiscal year.[9] A full announcement was featured May 2009 issue of V Jump magazine. The issue included several screenshots showing that the game contained gameplay elements from the previous Sparking games, polished Sparking character models, and revealed the official title.[10] A week later, Namco Bandai's European branch released a statement announcing that they would release the game throughout Europe sometime in autumn of that year.[8] On June 2 the Namco Bandai's US branch issued a press release stating that they would release the game throughout North America and that they would retain the game's title. It would also mention that the game would feature new interactive and destructible environments a new special attack system called "Super Rising", and that the release date would be for North America is November 10, 2009. After an interview with Ryo Mito, the producer of Dragon Ball: Raging Blast said their will be 40-50 characters without transformations and over 70 characters with transformations, including costumes over 120 playable character variants (2-3 per character), and ten playable stages. Thus far, only twenty-nine characters (discluding transformations and multiples of the same character) and four stages have officially appeared in the screens and trailers, so the full roster of characters and full list of stages has not been revealed yet. So far the stages: Plains, City, Supreme Kai's planet, Mountains, World Tournament, Island, and Namek have been confirmed. There are multiple versions of stages. For example exploding Namek has been confirmed. Also in-game transformations will be in Raging Blast. Players can play through the original events of the Dragon Ball story, but their actions in battle can change the story in many different ways. Over 100 "Battle Frames" can be selected at any time, regardless of chronological order to which they appear in the series. Battle Frames also include "what-if" scenarios that never occurred in the series, and completing all of them will unlock a special ending. Costumes can also be unlocked during story mode. The online mode will feature a 16-player "Budokai Tournament", single or team battle mode, and a spectator mode where players can rate the fighters. The game will also include two exclusive characters, only one of the two have been released as of yet(Super Saiyan 3 Broly). As Namco Bandai aims to release this during the second quarter of the 2009-2010 fiscal year, it is likely the game will have a release of November 2009 (US) 23/10/2009 (UK), keeping the traditional end of year release for each Dragonball Z fighting game going.
